Ever thought of a way the Internet, the Web, and your mobile could do some good in the world? Ever wanted to start your own business? Ever wanted to meet a bunch of cool people and work on cool things that really matter?

Join us at the Livity offices at Unit 11, 9 Brighton Terrace, London SW9 8DJ (right by Brixton Tube) on 25th January, 2012 at 4:30 for an introduction to Social Innovation Camp Express. We’ll talk a little bit about what Social Innovation Camp is all about, then run a workshop that will help us understand what young people need in terms of support for health – whether working on mental health, ensuring healthy living & behaviour, preventative health, or better access & usage of health services – we want your experience and expertise.

We'll have pizza for you after we're done & you can have a chat with us about your ideas, new businesses, or anything else.

What’s this for?

On 25th February 2012 in London, Social Innovation Camp will be working with the North East London HIEC to bring together some of the best of the UK’s software developers and designers with those at the sharp end of social problems.

Their mission will be to tackle some of the problems that we’re investigating and come up with really well-thought out ideas that can be developed into social start-ups – from fleshing out the problem to coming up with an well-developed idea for an application in just a single day.

NHS London and the HIEC will support at least one of the ideas to become a reality- with up to £5,000 in cash and some professional support.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to meet with young people and health professionals who might understand a social problem they want to solve or who have an idea they’d like to get off the ground.
